How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal works by emitting a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles. This light energy is converted into heat, which damages the hair follicle and inhibits future hair growth. Over time and with multiple sessions, the treated hair follicles become inactive, resulting in permanent reduction or elimination of unwanted hair.

No hair removal method is 100% permanent. That’s because hormones can affect hair growth, and different hair skin types and combinations can react differently to hair removal too. Some clients may need occasional top-ups after treatment, and some may never shave again, so we never claim permanent hair removal. If you book laser hair removal at FG hair & skin clinic, you can permanently reduce unwanted body and facial hair by up to 90%

The number of treatments needed for laser hair removal varies depending on factors such as your hair colour, skin type, and the area being treated. However, most people typically require multiple sessions spaced 2-6 weeks apart depending on the area to achieve optimal results. Generally, a series of 6 to 8 treatments is recommended for best outcomes.
